And... We're back

Well it's been a week off here. I've been working on laying out the plot for the full story of DuskHaven. I don't know if I can wait till November to start on it. I will be working on The EarthSeer's Daughter tonight but I need to tighten up the plot there as well.

So let's talk about time. We know that DuskHaven fell 30 years prior to present day. In DuskHaven that would be 2143 but in the Inner Kingdom of Astel that would be 4598 and in Darset 4385. The Border Kingdoms and The Green Fields all adopted DuskHaven time over the years so that's the time we'll use. DuskHaven time starts with the founding of the city and lighting of the lantern. DuskHaven was a new city when the lantern was lit. It grew up and around the center point of light. The location was chosen because it was as close to the oncoming demon mobs as the armies at the time could safely reach. Initially they had planned to place the city another 200 wheels west where there is another natural narrowing of the continent but they were stymied by the speed of the demons. Luckily for the inhabitants of the Green Fields the lantern was strong enough to keep all but a few demons from coming through. The Silver Knights and local militia were able to deal with the few that did cross through.

So we have DuskHaven founded 2143 years ago.
Lord Danrael's fall was in 1483 or 560 years ago.
Rolard Grolgamon was born in 2082.
DuskHaven fell in 2113.
